Assignment #1
Doing this assignment was something that was really fun and not that hard to learn. I was understanding most of the things, but there was still some stuff that I couldn't find or understand. One thing that I wish I could change was some of the textures of my designs. I also used gray when I wasn't supposed to, which is something that I definitely need to fix for next time. I feel like the images that I made were not complex enough. Hopefully next time I can make mine better!

For this assignment, we were trying to use the style of Stephen Kroninger and make a children story book page. Mine was about having a giant beach party. I tried to add as much as possible to make the page fill up and look busier. I think that this is a good design, and I tried really hard on it! I might not have used all the right techniques like I should have, but I tried to make the image appealing to the eye of a child, and I think I did that.

For this assignment, we had to put our faces into a picture with someone who is famous. I decided to put myself in a picture with Taylor Swift. It was a little hard since the background was hard to blend in with the picture. It was still really fun to do! I decided to make the picture black and white because I thought it would be easier to blend and it would make it look more real, since they were all in certain outfits, and mine didn't go along with what they were wearing color wise.

This assignment was really fun and it was a good way of learning how to use the pen tool to make vector graphics and designs really great. The main point of this assignment was to learn how designs can use value, texture, and negative space to make the design very good to look at and shows representation about what it is trying to express. I feel like I did a better job on this assignment than I did on the last one because I tried really hard to make the design good and took a long time to make the lines as good as possible and to make the colors look as good as they possibly could.

This assignment was teaching us all about the different colors of the color wheel and how they will look better next to certain colors. Instead of just doing a normal color wheel, we used different icons to make the color wheel more presentable. I chose the butterflies and the flowers because I thought that they looked good together. I Think that next time I could probably choose a more creative way of choosing my icons. Also they could have probably been more nicely traced.
Assignment #4
This assignment was all about learning how to make pop art. We first had to take a picture of ourselves, and then we had to use 4 color schemes to chose what colors go in each box. This assignment was not very hard, but I should have made the picture different so that there was more room for colors. It is not that original and pleasing to the eye.
Assignment #5
This assignment was using photo mosaics. We had to take a lot of little pictures and put them in the background. Then, you have to put the main picture on the front and the little pictures will fade in the front. The assignment didn't take as much time as I thought, since there was an easy way to copy all of the little pictures and just keep placing them on different levels. It was a really fun assignment, and I feel that I did really good on it!

For this assignment, we had to find an image and trace it on the illustrator program. Then, you had to find a word that went along with the image well. I chose the word bottle because my picture has a bottle in it. Then, you had to take the word and incorporate it into different parts of the design so that the word makes the space look like a fill color. I thought this assignment was not very hard, but it was time consuming.
Assignment #9
For this assignment, we had to use all the different types of typography to make the letters blend and look cool. The three ways to design it was shading it, repetition, and using formal principles. We had to use different fonts and typefaces to get the design to look more unique, which made it a little harder to get them all to look as good as they possibly could. I thought it was a really fun assignment!
Assignment #11
For this assignment, we had to take a picture of something and then we had to find a song or a poem that went along with the picture. We then had to put the picture over parchment paper or some other texture and blend them into one layer so that the picture had a cool layer effect. Then you had to put the words on with the lyrics and blend them in with the picture and the background. It thought that this was a really fun assignment and I really like how the colors of the words blend in with the colors of the picture.
Assignment #12
For this assignment, we had to take pictures of every letter of the alphabet. The thing that we had to do was make sure that all of the letters that we took pictures of were naturally and not something that we created to be the letter. I think that this was a very fun project and I think that mine ended up really good!

For this assignment we had to get into groups and make an exquisite corpse. To do this, we each chose a part of the body to draw and we made those on our own. I did the legs, which are Big Bird's legs from Seasme Street. Then, we had to export them into the shared space so that we could put all of the other parts of the body into an InDesign file. Then, you just combine all the layers and it makes an exquisite corpse!

For this assignment, we had to have a job in either the field of graphics or photography and we had to look up all of the information about that job. Then, we had to make a career poster about the job that we had. I did mine on a portrait photographer. We then had to present our posters to the class and explain what the job was that we had and what they did.

For this assignment we had to make an illuminated manuscript. I decided to make my design more traditional. I put lace on the sides to make it look professional. I also put all the flower brushes around to make it look natural. I think my design turned out pretty good.

For this assignment, we were supposed to take all the information that we learned from our podcasts and put them into an interesting infographic. I had a lot of ideas of things to do, but i thought that this one looked better when it was put together. Mine was a piece of notebook paper with pieces of paper stuck to it with the information. I put the font to look like handwriting so it looked like someone wrote all the information.

The project wasnt really so hard since all you really needed to do was make sure that your design matched with the type of business and that all the three designs were matching in the different ways of representation. For this assignment, we had to use a social issue and make a poster about it. I chose world hunger because I think that is one issue in the world that is really important. I did the main colors of red because that made me think of death which is, sadly, what world hunger causes. I am sad because this is our last assignment but I tried to make it good for the last one!
