Word marks are logos that are used to represent a name of a company or the initials of a company. These really help with the advertisements because they make the logos really recognizable. When you see them somewhere, you will recognize it and know what is being advertised.

For the assignment, i am not sure what company to do so I am going to do them all and see which one looks best when it is utilized.
